(Sept. 18, 2025) – Laughlin Constable (LC), the independent, full-service, brand experiences agency, announced it has received an Award of Excellence from Communication Arts, the leading trade journal for visual communications and largest creative magazine in the world. The winning work was part of the Master It campaign for long-time client Master Lock. The “Difference” video created by Laughlin Constable showcases responsible, safe storage of firearms.
“Day in and day out we seek to create meaningful change. It's what leads to the most compelling creative,” said Pat Laughlin, chief creative officer at Laughlin Constable. “By partnering with Master Lock, we were able to craft a powerful message that resonated widely, and we’re honored to see its impact recognized in this largely coveted industry recognition from Communication Arts.”
The award recognizes Laughlin Constable’s work in ideation, development and production of a video for Master Lock’s campaign promoting responsible firearm storage. The 15-second video was a high-impact spot, promoting the obligation of keeping firearms out of children’s hands.
The agency was one of 117 winners, selected by a jury of creative professionals from more than 1,200 entries. Winning projects will be featured in the November-December 2025 issue in both print and digital editions.
This honor marks another major achievement for Laughlin Constable, adding to a year of recognition that includes being named to the Milwaukee Business Journal’s and Crain’s Chicago’s Best Places to Work lists, receiving Ad Age’s Small Agency of the Year award, securing several new creative and media AOR partnerships such as QuikTrip, and earning multiple PRSA awards.
